While we’re on the subject, could you do a run through on some of the gender neutral/non binary/gender queer phrasings? Since ya’ll are so considerate in making prompts, would you mind being an educator on the topic of gender neutral phrasing? Sometimes IDK exactly how to say things in a gender neutral way/don’t know the right words to use, and it’s something we all should learn given the chance and right teacher. Mind giving a little lecture? I’d never seen words like “xir” until your blog

hey, i know you guys have spoken about it before, so much so that its a tired topic, but i can’t seem to find it – is the use of pronouns like ‘xir’, ‘eir’, etc., instead of using ‘they’ a preferential thing? i guess i’m wondering: is it just something you like to do or does it enhance a narrative when you employ a pronoun as seemingly limitless as the ones you do? could you possibly link me to where you’ve already gone over this stuff, please? (i love you; thank you🌹)

in short: it’s partially preference, partially because it’s easier to have multiple gender neutral characters to a prompt if u can use different pronouns, partially because these writing prompts probably will be used for she/he using characters, and ‘xe’ or the like pronouns use the same sentence structure (xe/he is vs they are)

(also neopronouns are bitchin’, and a couple of the mods use them irl so why not use them here)

i am not… good at webpages, so we don’t have a permanent link up to that article on the tumblr blog yet, so there’s no problem with asking for it if you’re polite ❤

i don’t think they were commenting on the quality of the prompt, rather, they were just being an asshole about the pronouns used. not that it really matters, it was still an uncalled for comment, but just to let you know.

as for how i recruit mods… i do it in the cprompts writing discord, because i know all the regulars really well and can judge if theyre a good fit

when i need mods i go HEY WHO WANTS TO BE A MOD and then i pick out of the poor, unprepared fools who volunteer

i’m working 40 hours a week rn and i have a Serious Liver Disease and Other Health Problems so i’m not really going to be around until spetember

mod alpha also has health problems so they’ll be dipping in and out

unfortunately, this blog is run by Stressed Twenty Somethings, two of which have legitimate ‘this can and will kill you’ level health concerns so we kind of. disappear. sometimes

we’re talking about bringing another temp mod in for more cover because D:!! running this blog is important to me and mod sam shouldn’t be doing it alone for long stretches.

as u can probably tell given ive uploaded one (1) prompt in the past two weeks and none on wordpress, working full time is very tiring

i still have time for some creative endeavors but blogrunning in particular is very hard for me :(!

that said i’ve kept up with my art a little better (as u know if u’ve been following me on twitter) and i’m planning on doing more pokemon art prompts over the next little while! you can send in some requests if you’d like. I’m also going to be trying to learn art nouveau so some of them might get a lil fancy!
