“Oh!” says the villain, flustered “Oh sorry.”

The hero trades an awkward glance with xir parents “Can we have our epic showdown… tomorrow morning, or something? We’re busy with Hanukkah and stuff right right now. I have family over, man, c’mon.”

“I can see that.” ze nods, toeing the broken glass left over the window ze’d jumped through “I’ll just- go. Happy holidays!”

“Do you want some food?” shouts the hero’s grandparent after zir, because ey knows no fear but definitely knows the art of feeding people until they stop being a jackass.
